Round 5 Report and Result Guinea Gap

Round 5 results and report
Well round 5 saw us fishing from guniea gap up to the vents.
We met up and booked on by the bath's then everyone made their way to the bottom of the ramp when everyone was there we all walked to our chosen spots working around the pleasure anglers already there. We all got set up and at 11.30 all in was called.
It was a slow start and the tide was pulling quite hard left to right with quite a bit of weed in the water. After an hour the tide eased off a bit but the fishing was still very slow with reports of only 1 plaice being caught . Then over h/w a few hounds started to show with Mike Bishton getting the 1st a nice 85cm specimen and not long after Hughie O'Connor landed the same, Chris James had lost one on the way in and a few more flatties had been caught. With hopes the fishing would improve on the ebb we battled on a few more hounds were caught but not what we were all hoping for. Soon enough All in was called and we all made our way back to the car's the results were in and it didn't take long. 1st on the day went to Chris James with 2 hounds for 154cm.
2nd went to David Andrew Lunt with a hound of 90cm he also took the prize for biggest hound.
3rd went to Tom James with a hound of 89 cm.
4 th was shared between mike bishton and Hughie O'Connor who both had a hound of 85cm.

7th Mike Parker
8th Steve Atkinson
9th Richie Fisher
10th Dan Davies
Biggest fish other than a smooth hound went to Mike Parker with a 32cm plaice and smallest fish went to John Waugh with a 24cm flounder.
Well done to everyone who caught on what was a very hard day in hot sunny conditions and thanks to Dave Roberts for supplying the worms.
A gap now till our next match on the 17th August our final visit to talacre hope you all get plenty of pleasure fishing in between now and then and see you all at talacre.
