intended fishing session

Post by Local/Brian »

CANCELLED THIS ONE I put up
had a look at weather and wind and still looks poor / plus Stan has confirmed by phone it not changed yet as he is already in Wales and seeing it first hand .

S looks like a local over the weekend and a few night trips next week when the conditions have changed but the wind direction will also change so could be different venues and different target fish.

And to be honest putting up intended fishing sessions just like the fishing reports don't get any interest.

I have been on doing stuff for just under 2 months now and its not getting any better if anything less people are posting
I have said from the start I am only one person and can't change or get anything going again without others helping and joining in as well .

So i will give it a bit longer but if am still wasting my time I will just stop I have done what i can .

For the last year conversations with others has been Wirral sea fishing is slow / It's a shame it's a greate site full of information / good fishing reports
let's try and save it and not let it go to the dusty vault's

Well that's where it's going ? were are all you that say this above ? a case of all talk and no action.

You blame Facebook for it's demise BUT THE MAJORITY OF YOU ARE ON IT / probably because it's quicker and easier to get your social status up
quicker and look good to others than on things like forums where you get found out .

i also have a funny feeling that for some strange and weird reason some would get some pleasure out of seeing this sea fishing forum hit the
Dark and dusty vaults.
people will probably comment well that's a bit harsh BUT VERY TRUE

Ok I have to ask and would like to understand  What is it about this fishing forum now that's different from FaceBook or other things like YouTube / X / twitter / TikTok / Instagram  .

From what am seeing the site is getting plenty of views but nothing in the way of replies or post's / it can't all be down to the likes of Bot's or just guests can it ???
Maybe Mr Steve or the site owners or someone that understands this better than me can answer ?.

And if the inactivity is just simply down to the forum not being appealing or outdated / What would you suggest would change that.?????
Again not causing trouble or making an issue out of things / But i have noticed myself that the summer and winter league are still going on .
But the people that take part of that seem absent on here ? do they use something like the WSF FaceBook page or just don't bother with the forum.

NO NEED FOR ANY ARSEY ANSWER OR REPLY / just something myself and probably others think about.
I get a lot of criticism for the way I am . [Being outspoken] / But being silent over things will change nothing / so if people that do visit this site stay silent then nothing is going to change .

And like I have said I have no intention of turning this sea fishing forum into the Brian forum if no body bothers with it then neither will I .
I have other things I do and will just keep doing my pleasure fishing as I always have and will do.

Cheers Brian. Be interesting to read any thoughts or replies.

I don't fish any more but still like to follow the local scene, so you're not going to get much posting from me but I still find your contributions interesting.

One important difference between this forum and Facebook is simply the 'like' facility.
I can read a post on FB and click 'like' without resorting to opening a Reply screen, and then the poster will know someone's seen it and liked it.
Is there any way that could be done with this forum I wonder? A button to click so you at least know someone's seen your post.
We live in an age where people are more impatient than ever and clicking 'like' is so much quicker that selecting 'Reply' and then thinking of something to say.

Can't think of anything else.

Keep posting - I read them :D
