Got to Vale Park for 3pm,and met Scott and a couple of his mates. We walked out to the bank,to hear shouts from some undesirables who had parked by the shelter where the big gulley is   They eventually made their way out to join us,for what we hoped would be a good session  The weather was against us with bright sunshine, but codling have shown before in those conditions.
Not a breath of wind,on a lovely evening by the sea 8)

Danny takes a couple of pics :D

Newly qualified casting instructor,Mr P. Moonan,launches one out :D
Image
We`d only been fishing for 10 mins, and Danny was frantically searching for his butties....he`d left them in the car
Image
Wokky was targeting pin whiting to avoid blanking :D
Image
He was embarrassed by the size of his catch,so tried to throw it back before Danny the roving reporter could take a pic
Image
Danny`s been getting casting lessons from Pete :D
Image
The fishing turned out to be pretty poor, with just a few whiting n dabs between us,but it was good to be out on such a nice day 8)
Due to work and beer (you work out who it applies to) Danny and Pete said goodbye, while myself and Wokky made our way to the Dolls House for round 2 8)
I picked Stub up on the way,and we were to meet Squidgy at the mark.An extra large keeeeeebab at the Main Stop, set us up nicely 8) Paul soon had base camp in position, and the kettle was on 8)
Image
It looked like a perfect whiting night...cold n frosty without a breath of wind 8)
First chuck and my rod was bouncing to the tune of a 1-7-0 codling :D
Image
Stub was soon getting taps, and a whiting was snared :D
Image
It looked promising, with myself getting another codling on my next chuck, only for it to jump ship coming up the wall   Wokky was also getting bites, but mainly small whiting.Still it`s nice to see the rods knocking 8)
As the temp dropped,Paul put the curry on the stove 8)
Image
That certainly warmed us up nicely :D We could have sold portions,as Wokky had made that much
Image
Stub takes a nice double of dab n flounder :D
Image
Paul took a couple of dabs n whiting, then decided to see how many of his reels he could blow up   One of those nights, but i kept him going with my sports rocket....just surprised i got it back in one piece
We`d get a bit of action for 15 mins then it would go quiet...the lack of flow was`nt helping, but i`ve had worse sessions.
A nice flounder took a liking to my Linfords 8)
Image
I was to take one more codling before we upped sticks at 2am :D
Image
All in all,a very enjoyable day with plenty of laughs 8) Thanks to Wokky and Paul for the curry and regular brews,it makes a big difference on a frosty night :D ....til the next time boys ;)
