What a disgrace !!!!

Today we had a few phone calls into the shop regarding a local pond (Captains Pit) having fish floating on the top and others gasping for breath, i put a call into the enviroment agency who responded with great speed, getting an officer there within 30 mins and arranging for pumps to be brought to the site, however the BAD thng is that the pool is ran by AWAC (assoc of wirral angling clubs) this so called carer of the local ponds takes thousands of pounds each and every year yet does not care that 2000+ fish are floating on the top nor do they have an emergency pump to at least get some oxygen into the water before the big boys arrive, I visited the site today and it wa a very sorry site indeed, the "head bailiff" was present and making no attempt to remove the fish that had obviusly died some days before hand as they were either bloated or headless, I even offered to help as i had a net in the van as well as black bin bags, to be given the responce - not my job thats down to the council !! WHAT A WASTE OF SPACE HE WAS !!!!! i challange a representative of AWAC to come to me and explain what they do with the thousands that they collect each year from ticket sales (Moreton Angling stopped selling tickets last year as a result of no information and overcharging) otherwise i will go hunting and reveal all that i find.

Seriously, I know what you`re saying. That really seems to be taking the opps.

"It`s not my job" is not the correct response when living creatures are suffering and their habitat is being polluted by the corpses of their dead relatives. This person should be made to account for his actions. I hope you can get some sense Chris. Good on ya for highlighting it. I have fond memories of Captain`s Pit

- it`s the first lake I ever got pushed in.
