Greenbank Park 2006-07-05

2nd time to fish the Greenbank Park and the result is not bad.
Fed a few Brazem groundbait to kick start the swim at 6am, then fed nugget size ball every 10min... but the swim didn't kick start. The tench there seem only like Mathew's brazem pellets, but not my groundbait.

I swtiched back to 4mm+5mm pellets after an hour and I started to catch fish steadily. But he roach was getting more and more, they took the 4mm expander in no time, and kept nicking 6mm expanders!

Then I bombed 2 large ball of fishmeal groundbait in either to scare them away / fill them up. It worked! Then after a while I managed a fat tench around 6.5lb


Here is my net, 3 tench 2 crucian 1 skimmer and some stupid roach. As it's so hot I am quite happy with it!

next time you can try expander on hook mate, but it's a gamble to use such bait, it's kind of catch or none.

Back to Greenbank 2 days ago only managed 1 crucian 1 skimmer and 2 roach.

once by the time I only got a 3M whip....

Now I got a 8M margin pole, my mate said it's a bit short there...you fish there mate?

ye used to fish there lots but like sea fishing more used to catch loads of tench around dusk on bread
