It`s like a double boom which is positioned just above the sinker,thus anchoring 2 baits to the deck....used to use it from the Alex many moons ago as most of the whiting would take the bottom hook,and leave the top one.....it was made out of metal and was pretty archaic in design....the principle is sound,just need to think of a light way of making one

I think they make them out of plastic nowadays

We used them in the boat..Great for Flatties

you could make 1 out of 2 of them french boom type things

Tried something like that before,but they tend to swivel and cause tangles

tried to make something similar with 2 avis boom's stuck together with glue

, but it tangled alot due to lack of distance between snood's but with really small hooklenght's it worked alright for little whiting out the docks, never got anything big on it

I meant knocking one up with a couple of booms....Julians rig will work fine just thinking of a way to knock one up myself

We use 1mm or 1.3mm Tig welding rods to make 'Herne bay spreaders' for boat fishing. They are very effective for boat match fishing.

Its the same principle kev, takes a bit of practice but after that, you can make all sorts of variations, such as what your after.
