Hi all
want to fish a club match at holyhead, how close can you get to the breakwater if we went in a coach. Have3 been told the access isnt that good. club full of lazy a****s, who want to fish from thier cars.

some one told me you could get a 40ft lorry on the breakwater so a coach should'nt be a problem

you can get a fully loaded articulated lorry down to the lighthouse

. But you'll have to reverse all the way back

now getting a coach down there is and will be taking the hiss

cars/vans/campers fine for fishing out of your motors(but a coach it only got one door so the arguements will be good) but you would have to reverse it all the way back which is near a mile long and the road is not to good pot holes everywere and the bad side is if all the other anglers(ie noddies)who is fishing out of there cars you wont get past the 1st bend ther is a bit of waste land as you turn into the gates you could park up there and walk the rest of the way but the sounds of your party it will be a good hike for them which is longer than a mile

share cars if you want to fish this venue forget the coach unless its a mini bus which you should be ok with fishing from the lighthouse is ok but drop net needed for bigger fish fishing at the bottom of the steps(lighthouse) and 100yrds back towards the entrance on the inside is a graveyard for lossed rigs/weights
fishing on the outside wall is boulder city but very productive

be prepared to loose gear.

1/ place to fish is on the 1st bend inside the wall .worm/ baits tipped with macky to much macky will get you small doggies
2/ outside wall is 100yrds to 200yrds from 1st bend not straight down lift rod high when retrieving without fish

boulders once again
3 dont go on the breakwater walk across the worn path and fish from the rocks to the left as you enter through the gates but be carefull of the sharp rocks it is a bit of a hike but worth it ;)good conger mark also if its high water and the fast cat comes across watch for the after waves
now i told you this i going to get the hiss taken out of me for the next ten years but hey you need advice so its given at my exspense

I live in Holyhead. Like the other posters say, taking a coach on to the breakwater raises the problem of reversing it all the way back. Best to park at the start of the breakwater, a coach will have no problem turning there. It will be a bit of a walk to the best bits though (the left hand top corner of the lighthouse platform, or by the double green lights about halfway along)
